The Comox Valley Bantam AAA Tier 1 Chiefs are going to be a very competitive team this season. With returnees, such as sniper [Liam Shaw], bruising hitter [Tyler Kostiuk], and baeuty tendy [Michael Herringer], the team looks poised to take the Island Championships away from Nanaimo. The Chiefs are also counting on new blood in [Kyle Wade, Joe Surgenor, Brandon Tutte, and more...] The player who seems to be somewhat in the limelight is new team captain and hero (Alec "Molzy'' Molander). Man that kid can play. Look for them to challenge for the only Island spot in the Provincials. Even though they are loosing their heart and soul in 5 year vet (Sheldon Brett) to the POE (Kelowna), they claimed him off waivers and signed him for 1 year, $3Million. The organization managed to do something right though as they renewed Head Coach; Paul Mugford's contract for 1 year $9Million. The boys hit the ice in September. It should be a good year for family fun, goony, hockey.
